Medieval Castle Cake. Towers on cake are made out of rice krispy treats, molded to make towers and covered in fondant. Main buildings of castle are Very Vanilla Sour Cream Cake with Raspberry filling, covered in Marshmallow fondant. Dragon is hand sculpted out of gum paste and painted. Everything on cake is edible.
Over the Hill - 50th Birthday. What a fun cake for someone turning the big 5-0!! Cake was a Too Good Chocolate Dream Cake with a Velvet Chocolate filling and buttercream on the outside. The road signs are all hand made and edible images where put on the signs. Very fun cake!
Jungle themed 1st Birthday cake. This cake was made out of marshmallow fondant. Each animal was hand sculpted, as were the trees and other decorations. The tree on the top of the cake was made out of rice krispy treats and then covered in fondant. Some hand painting was done on the animals as well. Cake was Vanilla Sour Cream Cake with a raspberry filling.
1st Birthday Cake. Cake is two tiers, plus giant cupcake, that will be removed and used as the child's "smash cake". Cake is Very Vanilla Cake with a Velvet Chocolate Fudge filling. Giant cupcake is Fudge cake with buttercream filling and buttercream top
Walther P-38. This cake was for a good friend, who has this particular pistol in his gun collection. I thought he'd enjoy it for a birthday cake. The cake is carved and then covered in fondant. The detail work on the gun and bullets are made out of gum paste and painted to resemble gun metal. The cake is Baily's Sour Cream Cake with a coffee buttercream and a Baily's Bavarian Creme filling.
Baby Shower #2 for a Girl. The clothes on the clothes line are all cut out by hand and painted. (See next picture for close ups of the clothing pieces) The baby buggy is made out of gum paste and the clothes are made out of fondant. The cake is carrot cake with bavarian cream filling.
This is a Baby Shower cake is for my cousin's running coach. The running shoes are a replica of the kind of shoes the coach wears. The shoes and monogram are made out of gum paste. Cake is Too Good Chocolate Cake with a Bavarian Cream filling and covered in marshmallow fondant.
